Super Psychic Royale
My main project currently in development is a multiplayer fighting game called Super Psychic Royale (SPR). I created this website (which is fully responsive and utilizes features such as lightboxes, carousels, and an online store) to accompany the game, so feel free to click through the different tabs and check it out! Quick Bite, Pizza Fight!
In 2019, I completed my first 48 hour game jam. Towards the end of 2022 I decided to expand this project into a game with multiple levels, and I’m hoping to release it soon. Here’s some quick gameplay footage:

This was my first time coding video game characters with complex AI, and I created the demo below to showcase that specific aspect of the game. Click the link below to run the game in your web browser.

A Dark Place to Hide
As a part of my Fundamentals of Game Design class at UC Santa Cruz, I spent 4 days working on this short game which focused on the social effects of depression. It was never completed, but it featured a complex text blitting system which I coded for the project. To see more, click the link below!

Timeline Map
As a game designer, I found it difficult to write complex stories that followed multiple characters at once, so I created a program to help storytellers avoid continuity errors and track their stories in a visual way. Check out the video below to see more.
CenCal Melee Rankings and Tournaments
I was an active member of the Smash Bros community for many years, and back in 2017 I wrote a program that compiled tournament data from two popular tournament bracket websites (Challonge and Start.gg) and ranked players in the region using the Trueskill algorithm. The program allowed players in the region to track their progress and use data models to identify way to improve.
Art
Although I don’t consider myself to be an artist, I have tons of experience using graphics software such as Photoshop, Maya, and Aseprite. I created the visual design for this website and the associated social media accounts, and I actually also designed the logo for SPR.

I’ve recently started using AI art generators such as Dall-e 2, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion to create conceptual designs that can be used to inspire other artwork (see examples below).

Four different designs I created using Stable Diffusion and Photoshop
I prefer to work with other artists on game design projects so that I can focus on the programming side of things, but if I’m creating a game entirely by myself, I usually stick to pixel art.

I have attended over 100 video game tournaments as a competitor, but I’ve also hosted around 20 tournaments myself. As a result, I’ve also used my artistic abilities to create promotional material.
